Our Burke Dental office provides our patients with Computed Dental Radiography (Digital X-rays), which dramatically cuts down on traditional X-ray radiation.
Dental X-rays provide pictures of the teeth, surrounding bones and soft tissues, which help Dr. Khan identify any dental problems. These X-ray pictures can show cavities, wisdom teeth, and bone loss that cannot be seen during a visual examination.
For this reason, digital X-rays are invaluable in helping us detect and diagnose any dental issues that may be present. For Dr. Khan to appropriately diagnose patients, a complete set of X-rays is needed, and now can be taken without exposure to unnecessary radiation!
By using Digital X-rays, radiation is reduced by 90% (compared to traditional film X-rays), with the amount of radiation equal to the dose received during a cross-country airplane flight. Additionally, you don't have to wait for the X-rays to develop, since our system takes less than 2 seconds to show the image on the monitor saving you time during your appointment!
Our Paperless Office is Environmentally Friendly!
Our Burke Dental Center Office is fully computerized, allowing us to digitally collect and house digital X-rays, photos, and other patient information. Through the use of digital capture and storage, our office is much more environmentally friendly and efficient. Since we also submit your claims electronically, our office uses less paper and provides us with a quicker turn around in claims submissions.
Our Digital X-rays are very environmental friendly since they use no films and chemicals to develop. Best of all, there is no hazardous byproduct, which is good news for the environment. Furthermore, our office makes use of environmentally friendly white composite fillings in place of mercury-containing amalgam fillings, hence making our office even more environmental friendly.
