You will be asked to take a pill the night before and one an hour prior to your appointment.
You will need to be driven to the office. These pills will make you very sleepy.
Some patients may require additional pills if the desired effect has not ben met.
This will be decided by Dr Khan.
Once in the office, you will be made very comfortable with blankets and pillows and placed on a pulse and oxygen monitor. Shortly thereafter we will begin your treatment. During your appointment, you will be very relaxed and at time, even sleeping. But you will not be unconscious. You will be able to breathe on your own and respond to our directions. At the end of the appointment you will need to be driven back home. These pills stay in your system for 3 to 6 hours depending on your metabolism. Most of our patients do not even remember coming to the dentist the day after the appointment. Imagine yourself with a beautiful smile that you always wanted, now easier than ever with oral sedation. Let us become your sedation dentist- Springfield VA, Burke and Fairfax VA areas welcome..
