Traditionally, getting a dental crown was a multi-step process. It often required two appointments spread over several weeks, temporary crowns, messy impressions, and a waiting period while your crown was made in a lab.
Now, you can walk in needing a crown, and walk out with the final one already in place.
With Glidewell’s Fastmill IO, we can design, mill, and place your custom crown in a single appointment! It’s fast, precise, and incredibly convenient.
How It Works
Here’s what your visit will look like:
- Digital Scan — We take a 3-D digital impression of your tooth (no goopy trays here!).
- Design — Your crown is digitally designed in-office to match the shape, size, and shade of your natural tooth.
- Milling — Using the Fastmill IO, we carve your crown from a high-quality ceramic block right here in our Burke, VA, dental office.
- Placement — After checking the fit and aesthetics, we bond the crown in place, and you’re done!
